| My work I did |
My first event was a Holiday Luminaria workshop at Alex and Ani building. The event was about crafting a Christmas lantern with the second graders from Henry Barnard School. It was amazing to see how these second graders knew so much about the project. The student I was working with was very helpful and interactive. The space felt welcoming and it was great to see college students working well with these students. The workshop created room for creativity. The design of the lantern was up to the designer. It could be done however way the individual wants it to be. The environment of the space felt more as a purposeful play and care. Although it was an art project, it was done in an engaging way. The care of the second graders as well as Rhode Island College students and faculties made the space more comforting that encourages people to stay as long as they can. The project was very interactive.
